He performed many tasks in the Ministry of Community Development, including, but not limited to:
- Reviewing applications for a disabled card, issuing applications that meet the conditions in accordance with the ministerial decision regarding the disabled card, and transferring some applications to the various committees.
- Supervising the early intervention program. Supervising the development of the staff working in the program.
- Reviewing all applications for enrollment in government disability rehabilitation centers within the framework of the status committee and approving new cases.
- Participation in monitoring the work progress in non-governmental disability rehabilitation centers (participating in the annual follow-up of these centers, auditing the academic qualifications of their staff, reviewing the education and rehabilitation programs implemented, and reviewing all requests for the establishment of non-governmental disability rehabilitation centers).
- Supervising the integration of people with disabilities into nurseries.
- Participate in preparing international and regional reports related to people with disabilities that the state submits to the United Nations, the League of Arab States, or various international and Arab organizations.
- Providing advice regarding the integration of people with disabilities into general education (reviewing cases nominated for integration into education frameworks for the year).
- Training and qualifying national educational cadres working in rehabilitation centers for the disabled and preparing training programs for them.
- Training of social and psychological workers and support services (speech, occupational and physical therapy).
- Participate in research and studies carried out by the administration regarding people with disabilities and their rehabilitation. Preparing some studies completely or preparing the structure of the studies in terms of the study sample, sample distribution, reviewing statistical data, study objectives, and other matters.
- Assisting various bodies in preparing a qualified environment for people with disabilities by preparing checklists for the qualified environment and standards for the qualified environment in public places (until now, I have prepared more than (6) checklists or standards for the qualified environment).
- Training teachers in public and private schools on how to deal with students with disabilities.
- Training workers in public institutions and ministries on how to deal with people with disabilities.
- Participation in internal committees in the Ministry of Social Affairs, such as the Evaluation and Diagnosis Committee for those enrolled in rehabilitation centers for the disabled, the Social Security Committee – the Legislation Committee – the New Employee Interview Committee and other committees.
- Preparing drafts of executive regulations (executive rules) for governmental and private disability rehabilitation and early intervention centers – and preparing drafts of ministry decisions regarding the field of disability. And public policies in the field of disability
- Reviewing applications for a People of Determination card, reviewing the medical and psychological reports of the applications, and approving those that meet the disability criteria (eleven categories of disability).
- Conducting an evaluation of cases transferred to the People of Determination card.
- Preparing legislation, systems, and administrative and ministerial decisions related to people with disabilities.
- Developing the staff working in the care and rehabilitation centers for people of determination in government and private institutions and following up on the progress of work in the centers.
- Implementing a large number of training programs in the Ministry, such as the “Case Management” program – autism – mental disability.
- Developing a qualified environment for people with disabilities and accessibility in public places. (I prepared a number of checklists, such as qualified environment checklists in public places – the airport – parks – hotels – shopping centers – schools).
- Implementing specialized training courses for public agencies in the country: such as security screening for people with disabilities at the airport – abuse of people with disabilities – etiquette for dealing with people with disabilities (and a large number of courses).
Ajman University:
He works as a visiting lecturer in several programs, training courses, special education diplomas, and speech therapist assistants diplomas (Continuing Education Department). The courses he teaches include: Introduction to Special Education, Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Hearing Impairments, Motor Disabilities, Communication Disorders, Introduction to Linguistics, Introduction to Phonetics, Visual Impairments, and Strategies for Teaching Visually Impaired Students.
